For decades the Econ Verlag and the Handelsblatt group have been among the most important German media publishers in the economic sector. Competent and independent they guide and reflect business activity in Germany, Europe and worldwide. Their products are well-respected by decision-makers in business, society and politics. In 2007 the two partners pooled their expertise to create the “Econ Awards for Corporate Communications”. This annual competition recognises the best corporate communications from Germany, Austria and the German-speaking part of Switzerland.
The jury named Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars, 2014 Personality of the Year for his corporate communications leadership.
Winners are not always big multinationals. Previous winners have included Universities, local administrations and the German Bundeswehr. Entries can be submitted in the following categories: Integrated communication, Annual reports, PR, Magazines (print), Magazines (digital), Image publications, Digital applications, Social media, Film and video, Sustainability/CSR Reporting and Online reporting.
